Monuments

Palencia, like other Castilian cities, treasures a rich historical-artistic heritage that testifies to the relevance and vitality that it achieved in the past. It has important monuments, among which the Cathedral stands out (nicknamed 'The Unknown Beauty' and one of the largest in Spain); the Cristo del Otero (considered one of the most notable sculptural reproductions of Jesus in the world); and five National Monuments. The Puentecillas Bridge, the Church of San Francisco or the Monastery of Las Claras are other examples of a rich and diverse legacy that invites us to immerse ourselves in a fascinating history.
