Chapel of the Virgin of Solitude

Modest temple in which the Virgin of Solitude is venerated

This 17th century temple is attached to the San Francisco church, a few meters from the Plaza Mayor of the capital. The most significant pieces are its plaster vaults, the neoclassical altarpiece and the paintings that decorate its side walls, dating from the 18th century. Inside, the image of the Virgen de la Soledad, undoubtedly one of the most revered in Palencia's Holy Week.
