Typical product that is consumed in festivities such as San Marcos or Santo Toribio
Snails are a typical dish that is usually eaten on the Santo Toribio festival, on April 16, as the popular proverb says: “April for me, May for my master; and those of June for none ”. Snail tasting is also one of the attractions of the popular San Marcos Fair.
Recipe:
After resting for three days on breadcrumbs and after washing them several times, they are placed in a saucepan for cooking. Once the previous process is completed, the water is removed and seasoned with ham, chorizo and scrambled egg.
