Snails are a typical dish that is usually eaten on the Santo Toribio festival, on April 16, as the popular proverb says: “April for me, May for my master; and those of June for none ”. Snail tasting is also one of the attractions of the popular San Marcos Fair.

After resting for three days on breadcrumbs and after washing them several times, they are placed in a saucepan for cooking. Once the previous process is completed, the water is removed and seasoned with ham, chorizo ​​and scrambled egg.
